To mark the launch of the first smart phones in the country that use the Android platform, the HTC Dream and the HTC Magic, Marketel developed a campaign for Rogers that focuses on the power of knowledge that comes with Google applications. "The concept highlights the power that smart phones can grant by being able to provide information any time, anywhere," explains Simon St-Germain, Client Services Superviser at Marketel. A bus shelter postering campaign was also developed, with help from OMD.

"It was equally essential to demonstrate usefulness in an actual place, so we created visuals adapted to their specific environments, such as the bus shelters near the Orange Julep and the Biodome," continues Simon. The week before the launch, a 15-second television spot announced the upcoming arrival of the HTC Dream. Since then, the campaign has rolled out in print, online, cinema and postering.
