Marketel and our client Maybelline New York teamed up to give away thousands of free songs to eager Facebook fans.

Everyone loves free stuff, so when Marketel launched the Lots of Volume Music Giveaway on Maybelline New York’s Canadian Facebook page, fans went on a song downloading frenzy! The music giveaway was part of an integrated campaign that Marketel created for the launch of Maybelline’s new Great Lash Lots of Lashes mascara, which ran at the end of 2011. The campaign was bright, bold, and beautiful, and caught the eye (and lashes!) of young women across Canada via alluring TV spots, print ads, YouTube pre-roll clips, online banners and funky OOH elements that all drove fans to the website and Facebook page. For four weeks, fans were offered a new weekly playlist featuring five hit songs per week of which they could choose their one favourite to download. Fans downloaded and shared with friends, reaching the maximum number of available downloads per week, every week. The fun and engaging Lots of Volume music giveaway was wildly successful, bringing in almost 18,000 new fans to the brand’s Facebook page. Campaign results demonstrate how Marketel was well in tune with Maybelline New York’s fabulous fan base!
