Laugh it up, up, and away!
Marketel has kicked off a series of three contests for Air Canada and Just For Laughs.
The Just For Laughs Festival has kicked off its 2012 season, and this year Air Canada is on board as a main sponsor. As part of the sponsorship initiative, Air Canada asked Marketel to come up with a way to connect Montreal and Toronto while promoting the Toronto city airport route, as both cities play host to Just For Laughs shows and events.
In response, Marketel has created a series of contests with exciting prizes from Air Canada. For the first one, the Laugh a Minute contest, Marketel created branded digital banners (starring the fabulous Just For Laughs mascot, Victor) that drive to a microsite where Torontonians can enter to win a very grand prize. What’s up for grabs? The winner and a companion will win a round-trip flight from Toronto’s city airport to Montreal, along with a pair of tickets to a hilarious comedy show.
The banners are currently popping up on major websites and news portals such as LinkedIn, CBC.ca, TheGlobeAndMail.com, TheStar.com and many more.
“Being part of events such as these is an efficient way to involve your brand in the fans’ stories, but it’s important to diversify your communications. With more and more events popping up, it’s important to stand out. At Marketel, there is no sponsorship program that doesn’t have a before, during, and after component,” says Chantal Brunet, Director of Tactical Services.
