In addition to creative advertising, Marketel is now spearheading the sponsorship and promotional efforts for our client, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, starting with soccer season.

Soccer season is back, and as of this year our client the Fonds de solidarité FTQ is invested in our local Major League Soccer team, the Montreal Impact. What this means is those who invest in the Fonds are now shareholders in the team, or rather, there are 583,000 fans who are now part owners of the Impact! In a new campaign for the Fonds, Marketel took the mandate and decided to tell this story by integrating it into the creative initiatives.

Marketel kicked off the new Fonds campaign with on-site presence at the Montreal Impact season opener at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday, March 17 along with a new TV timeout video representing each of the fan-owners. Kicking off in June, there will also be themed bleachers in “L'estrade du Fonds” at Saputo Stadium and other initiatives to enhance the fan experience.

The goal of the sponsorship program is to bring the shareholders into the story by representing each fan who bought an RRSP from the Fonds with a soccer ball, showing their solidarity and involvement with the team while communicating the message “583,000 fan-owners have their impact!”
