Communicating mass communications to the masses.
Marketel’s Luis Areas met up with students from the École des sciences de la gestion at UQAM to discuss all things media.
The media department plays a huge role in agency mechanics, so as part of a series of presentations given to students of UQAM’s École des sciences de la gestion by various Marketelers, Media Supervisor Luis Areas stopped in to discuss the ins and outs of the media department. In his presentation he not only discussed media planning and strategy, but also the importance of finding your professional niche and doing what you are passionate about.
The room was filled with positive energy and the students were very engaged in the two-way conversation. Even though it was crunch time for exams and studying, the turnout was great. These enthusiastic students have promoting the series through blogging, Facebook and flyers on campus. Following the media talk, one student tweeted us to say, “You have such passionate and inspiring employees!” The series is not only rewarding for the students, but for us as well. We are thrilled to offer inspiration and guidance to these budding marketers.
A big thanks to Thuymi Do for the fabulous photos!
