A new campaign is brewing.
There’s nothing like a cold beer on a hot day, and this summer there’s a new brew in town.
You may have laid eyes on the bright, bold branding of Shock Top, Labatt’s new Belgian-style wheat ale, but if you haven’t, you soon will because Marketel is rolling out a media campaign to help put cold beers in the warm hands of thirsty Montrealers everywhere. Colourful ads are currently popping up online on sites like CKOI.com, Nightlife.com and Voir.ca as well as playing starring roles in online restaurant guides in the form of banners, wallpapers and a Shock Top logo that pops up next to every restaurant or bar that has a patio and serves Shock Top, making summer outdoor chill spot–hunting a breeze!
As a special feature, Marketel has teamed up with Montreal weekly Voir to publish special content, including beer-related articles and full-page ads.
“We approached Voir, knowing that this urban publication connected perfectly with our target. However, the specific environment catering to beer and everything related to it was nonexistent, so we worked closely with Voir to develop content related to the product. The whole concept came alive both in print and on the web, since our target also consumes a lot of online content,” says Marilyne Alie, Media Strategist.
The visibility in Voir will run all summer along, with print spots in other newspapers citywide. So in the spirit of summer, when you say patio, we say Shock Top!
